Ideas to keep Motivated for LSAT

It's easy to start LSAT study. It's another thing entirely to follow through--especially with this shitty job market staring us down every step of the way.

So what do you guys do to stay motivated?

Here is what I do:

1. take daily jogs right by the building of the law firm that I'd like to work at
2. go to court and observe
3. Come to TLS daily and read about people retaking a 173
4. think really hard about WHY I want to go to law school
5. try to have fun with it
6. talk with lawyers/partners about practicing law

This inspirational video motivated the hell out of me. I watched this at least once a week after another poster put this on here several weeks before the Dec 2012 LSAT.

I saw the heading of this topic, went and found a version of this speech, started to listen to it, and then found out you already posted it here.

Great video! Say what you will about Arnold, but the guy has an inspirational story. If he didn't have such success in acting he could have gone on to do a motivational/self-help tour or book.

Here's what happens to the 168s of the world. At the end of your cycle, you'll spend 45 minutes typing out a new topic about your law school choices, goals, dreams, how great your PS/LORs were, financial circumstances, ties, and ASW experiences. And the first poster to respond will glance at your numbers and type "retake". And the next six posters will just quote that. And then your topic dies.

I'm glad you guys liked the Arnold vid. This is another-- hopefully a fitting metaphor for your LSAT prep.

This reads like a list of things you do instead of studying the lsat.
If you ace it, you get a lot of money to pay for law school. If you flunk it, you don't end up a lawyer. Plus eventually PT's turn into self contained challenges. Beating your PT score is an achievement, even outside the long term effect on your admissions, it turns into a game.

Good luck!

Here's an AMAZING motivational speech, with none of the bullshit:

Also, if you need motivation to not be unemployed and in crushing debt, you're doing it wrong.

With just over a month to go, and some pessimistic threads lately, wanted to bring this thread back to the top. If anyone has other motivational speeches/videos, post em here!

I watch this the night before football games. the vid/speech gets you more pumped than anything else possibly could. Just watch it all the way through once, and you will understand.

P.S. It is sports-centric, but can easily be applied to the LSAT as well.
