Hi,

In the sentence, "Maximum total utility is assured only in a pure free market economy"

Which one is the SUFF and which one is NEC?

Is it Maximum total utility -> pure free market economy?

or is it

pure free market economy - maximum total utility?

I am leaning towards the first one because "only" indicates NEC. However, it seems like the word "assured" is saying that maximum total utility is the NEC part....

Please help.

Don't let the "assured" part mess you up. The first clause is "MTU assured" and the second is "PFME." Only indicates the nec, so MTU then PFME.
