No drawbacks. You haven't peaked at 162. 170+ is attainable, and with that GPA it will open a lot of doors that you may regret leaving closed. At this point I would shoot for the October LSAT and apply in the upcoming cycle.

Thanks. Is there a particular reason to give up on June. I would still have 10 solid weeks of prep and it wouldn't completely close the door on this cycle. Is that just wishful thinking?

I personally think your best option is to wait until the next cycle and retake next October. If you can get in the high 160's -170's you'll be in really good shape with that 3.88 GPA. If you've got plenty of money, relax and prep for the LSAT. Maybe take a vacation and prep there
