Top Law Schools

Hello all,

I am a LONG time lurker on this forum and finally decided to make a post. I am a Freshman (credit wise I'm a sophomore) at a major state university. I think I will be here for 3 more years and I'm looking to attend HYS. I am very confident that my final GPA will probably be around 3.5-3.7. Since I screwed up in my high-school classes that transferred to college the max GPA I could even have is a 3.81, but anyway I am gunning for a 169/170 on the test and was wondering when I should start studying. I'm afraid that if I start now I might burn myself out and run out of material to work with. What are your opinions?

And, just to give you all a reference, I consider myself an average test taker. (in regard to people on TLS) On the ACT I was in the 91 percentile with no prep at all.

Ideally, you should study 6-7 months prior to your LSAT.

Use prep tests; use LSAT guides (Blueprint or Manhattan or Powerscore); if you're a guy, stop jerking off cause you'll get tired fast; be consistent with your study; and take that $hiTTT seriously

Also, the ACT is pussy shit compared to the LSAT.

For HYS, you're going to need to do a lot better than that. You'll need about a 3.7/175 to have a good chance. 3.5/170 will be an auto ding at all those.

And @dr.dre yea I know that my ACT score is shitty thats one of the reasons why I am worried about the LSAT.

I didn't mean your ACT score was shitty. What I was trying to communicate to you is that just because you got a high score on the ACT doesn't mean you'll get a high score on the LSAT. ACT you can take without studying and still get a good score. That's not the case for the LSAT.
