Do you guys read the prompt or question first? Is there any type of consensus on which is better to do? Thanks.

People do it both ways, so you could try both out to see what works for you, but I think TLS leans more towards reading the question stem first (against PS's advice). Personally I really recommend doing this ; I used to read the prompt first, but it made me much more aimless when trying to answer the question. Reading the question stem first lets you know what to look for and how to approach the prompt. (It also helps you to stay focused on the question you are trying to answer).

Agree with post above that both ways are used and it is based on preference. I will say that if you do enough LR questions using the read blurb first you will be able to anticipate the question and sometimes the correct answer
