from what I've been reading on TLS, seems like M prep is dominant for self-study. Is this correct?

I've been going through the books and they're awesome. I got a 167 with a Princeton Review class, and the Manhattan guides are great for people like me who are working past the high-160s hump and aiming for at least the mid-170s IMO

I'm still getting -2 to -4 on LR and -3 to -6 on RC. Would the Manhattan books help me?

Halfway through the Manhattan LG booklet and so far, it's been pretty good.

Reason why I ask is because I used Powerscore to prep for my first LSAT. The LG bible was helpful and the LR bible was really helpful. The RC bible was a piece of @#$%. It was nothing that I didn't know already and I acquired no new skills using it.

Manhattan is awesome.
Manhattan with Powerscore supplementation is the best. The LR book is especially win.

Yeah. I noticed. As I've mentioned, only halfway through and I've already learned some new things. I was thinking about ordering the other two. Probably doesn't hurt to since I still have three months until my retake and I'm running out of material.

That there are no other types of LSAT prep other than self study and LSAT classes (say a private tutoring company...although I suppose that could fall under "any type of LSAT class.")?

prob could also include private tutoring, say by dingbat, if he was hired by a prep company

I like the MLSAT hw and study plan..it keeps me motivated .

IIRC he lied about one (or really, assumed incorrectly that was his score). But I think he did get two, actual 180s.

But as wormie said, his method can be effective.

Wormfather and Rebexness: do you guys think that Velocity program is significantly better than MLSAT for games? games are my worse section. Does Dave Hall really teach you methods that are not discussed in MLSAT or Powerscore that can really change the way you approach games?

Would you recommend studying the MLSAT guide for games then taking the Velocity program ? or would the two approaches interfere with each other?

Any thoughts or feedback are much appreciated.

Velocity fan here too. Went from a 164 to a 176. Hated powerscore, loved the M-LSAT RC book, but my games score skyrocketed with velocity and a lot of practice.

Notch another for Velocity, courtesy of Worm actually.

I wrote a 17x, looking for a 3+ jump with LG as my weakest section. After finishing Velocity LG I've finished 5 PTs with ~5 min left on games and -0 every time. I just power through it. No magical PS inferences.

Pretty boss.

I see as more of a which one of following allows the conclusion to properly drawn question, because there are a few assumptions required for the conclusion to be drawn

If you supply the best self-study guide then you are the best LSAT prep company

I don't know anything about other prep methods, but I took TestMasters course and went from 145 to 168. 2 friends recommended it to me and I strongly recommend it as well.

I don't care what other people say, TestMasters is great at getting its students to achieve higher LSAT scores. Because of TestMasters I am T14 bound, perhaps with $
