I can't get onto the LSAC website. Is it down for everyone or just me? If its maintenance, when will it be back up?
Thanks
When I try to go to the site I see a domain name website.

Appears to be a problem with DNS.
Likely to be resolved in the not too distant future.

The server that provides the IP addresses for their sites is having technical problems. Hence plug in the name of the website into your address bar, your computer sends a request to resolve this name to an IP address. Unfortunately most of these request have not been getting responses.
Once the Domain Name Server (DNS) is fixed (or the communication paths to and from this server is fixed) then things should return to normal.

It is very upsetting. Application deadlines are amongst us. What are we supposed to do?

Well, you can wait.
You can complain about it.
Or you can configure your computer to get the IP address from a different source. One option would be to manually add lsac.org to your host file as described by another TLSer in one of the other threads on this issue (link above). Or you can configure your computer to send DNS request to a server that still knows the address for lsac.org, such as Google's publically accessible DNS server ( 8.8.8.8 ).
ETA: waiting and complaining can be done in parallel.

Which did you try, host file mod or changing your DNS server?

Thanks for the link. Have called LSAC twice now regarding this also because it has messed up not only my applications by one of my LOR, which my recommender has been unable to submit. They reiterated what the article says that they have fixed the problem and that it is now dependent on our internet provider on how long it will take for us to be able to access the website again.
They said law schools are aware of this incident and that it should be fixed by tonight or tomorrow. If it continues however, they should it might be a good idea to contact law schools with looming deadlines (March 1st) just in case.
I am now able to get into my account but once I open an active application it brings me back to the faulty DNS website. how convenient.
