I wondered if anyone might have insight on this.
I was scheduled to retake the LSAT tomorrow but withdrew my registration. I currently have law school applications pending. Does anyone know if the schools are notified of my withdrawal?

They aren't. Your secret is safe is LSAC.

Thanks! When I called NYU after my registration they had already been notified that I had registered and had automatically indicated it on my application file. Do you think I need to contact them to let them know I am not taking it? I specifically asked them not to hold my application.

Well, if they've already been notified of your registration, then that's a different story. What I meant is that withdrawals don't appear on your LSAC record (in contrast to absences and cancellations), and schools are not directly notified of them.
I would recommend contacting NYU so they don't have that extra reason to wait before making a decision on your application anyway. (They would otherwise have incentive to wait.)
