This is probably gonna be a stupid question but I couldn't find an answer so bear with me.

Are the PTs that are sold individually the same as the ones that are in the "10 actual official" and the "Next 10 actual official" books?

If so, why do most guides on TLS suggest purchasing both?

Yes they are the same.
Probably because they are different PT's. (some aren't in the "10" series yet)
