Re: Are we due for another killer LG?
My ideal test would be LG (Experimental), RC, LR, LG (Real), LR. I will be a happy camper if I get this on Saturday.

LG i think it will be more moderate on all games (zones was like the only remotely difficult game on that test). RC not sure...prob hard again but more bc of subject matter and not weird wording like kung!
I'd be super happy with a harder than avg LR, easier than avg RC, and medium LG.

Do you think the experimental section's placement + subject will have any significant impact on your score? (just curious)Wormfather wrote:This is my biggest fear. Just not a brutal RC please. And no RC experimental.
Perfect setup.
LR LG RC LR LG
Dont care which LG is experimental...unless that shit is weird...then last please.

Re: Are we due for another killer LG?
I belive only once in the last like 10 years has it not been in the first 3 sections. And that was just over a year ago I belive. But half of the LSAT is always throwing off takers with !new things so dont count on anything.Wormfather wrote:They recently changed that...its on the Powerscore site somewhere.JUburton wrote:I've read that the experimental is always in your first 3 sections...which would make sense. Any truth to that?

A LR-RC-RC/LR-LG test would be incredibly mean.

No the worst would be having the first section be RC...and then the second section also be RC.JUburton wrote:A LR-RC-RC/LR-LG test would be incredibly mean.

Taking my chances and leaving the 2nd one blank if the first doesn't seem experimentalishWormfather wrote:If I finish an RC section and then see another right after it. I will lose 4 points on account of my tears being all over the page.

anything with RC's being back to back would be at the bottom of the list.

I do think the order in which you get the sections does play some sort of role. If there's a particularly tough section and some test-takers get it first and other last, it's not unreasonable to think that the ones who get it first can be "thrown off their game" for the next section.gguuueessttt wrote:

Know you are kidding but just to be sure, do NOT do that.scottyc66 wrote:Taking my chances and leaving the 2nd one blank if the first doesn't seem experimentalishWormfather wrote:If I finish an RC section and then see another right after it. Intersting though I heard a lecture from someone who used to work at LSAC and they said that they ocassionaly see people who just skip the experimental entirely because they know somehow. I don't know the data on the amount of people that try this and end up skipping a real section though.

How often do zone games show up on the test?dextermorgan wrote:Nah, you're safe. They just had Zones. The LSAC plans these out in advance.

My perfect setup: LG (exp ) - LR - LG - LR - RC
Tougher on LG and/or LR if it means an easier RC.

I hope they don't put a hard experimental up first like they did for me in October with an incredibly difficult LR. It shook my confidence before I even began the real exam--only later did I find out that was the experimental.
Also I hope the LSAT gods don't accost us with another zones-type LG.

Yeah,so I can kiss any dreams of a -0 LG section good-bye.desiballa21 wrote:I think what we're due for are some rule substitution Qs
I laughed when I saw Ping try to explain one on the 7sage video section. The Logic Game was 6 questions, the last one was a rule sub question.
The first 13 minutes of the video were devoted to explaining the setup, and answering the first 5 questions. The final 12 minutes was devoted to explaining how to answer question 6. What the fuck.
Basically, when I see a rule swap question, I accept that I have a 1/5 chance of getting it right. Ain't nobody got time to figure that shit out.

Usually if you run the answers against your existing hypos you can get rid 1-2. Next I try to notice if any of the answers drag along floating variables or other things, those are usually no-no. Atleast this usually gives me a 1/2 or 1/3 shot, and I come back to it if I have time at the end of the section.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
