This is some pre-Dec test panic, but it's a legit question. If I tank December, can I still squeak in somewhere with a Feb score?

I know the conventional wisdom is the earlier the better, etc., and there are lists of schools that officially won't accept Feb scores. But last year weren't some schools extending their deadlines by a wide margin (in some cases, even accepting June scores for admission that same fall)?

Is it reasonable to expect that things will be equally loosey-goosey this cycle and you can still land somewhere decent with a Feb score? What is the likelihood that the top 30 will delay deadlines and accept Feb?

ask the admissions office
