just wondering if for example the stimulus for a parallel question is A -> ~B, conclusion: B -> ~A (correct reasoning),

does the answer has to be

C -> ~D
Conclusion: D -> ~C

can it be just

C -> D
~D -> ~C

another question, if stimulus A -> B, B -> A (mistaken reversal)

does the answer has to be reversal or can it be a mistaken negation? since reversal and negation are basically the same, would that be an acceptable answer?

I am not necessarily answering your question directly, but I learned this weekend when drilling Parallel questions that if

Stim: A->B
B->C
Therefore, A ->C

Then the answer choice can be
A->B
B->C
-C->-A

Since contrapositive is saying the same exact thing.


So a mistaken negation is the contrapositive of a reversal, I would have to assume that the answer choice can be either reversal or mistaken negation. However, I have yet to come across such a correct answer choice with such a scenario. But I have come across at least one correct AC in the vein of my example above.
