This. I think LSAC wants to force as many people to register for the Dec. administration as possible. That way, even if some people later apply for partial refunds because they get their scores back and realize they don't have to retake, LSAC still gets to keep some of that money. This is their way of making up for the decline in test takers.nick_scheu wrote:No one knows, but probably not. That doesn't mean scores are coming on Monday, though. I wouldn't be shocked if LSAC waited until Tuesday, just to fully screw anyone who wants to retake in December.
From LSAC twitter: "if you took the test in Oct. and you wait til you get your score later this week to register for Dec., the late fee will be waived."cookiejar1 wrote:I haven't registered for the Dec test yet. Should I just in case? I don't know if I'll need to retake... but I was thinking that it wouldn't be a problem because you know the result would come in on time.
Huh? What part of the following (plain) English do you not understand?talk about a BLATANT ATTEMPT TO SCREW POTENTIAL RETAKERS
Just curious...displayed where? Sorry, I am not seeing it anywhere.Big Dog wrote:Huh? What part of the following (plain) English do you not understand?talk about a BLATANT ATTEMPT TO SCREW POTENTIAL RETAKERS
Notice: LSAC will be closed on Monday, 10/29. We will waive the late reg fee for Oct. test takers only who decide to retest in December.
(btw: this is prominently displayed on lsac's website.)

Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. Get real.jgotz1118009 wrote:... in all fairness, i acknowledge it was clearly not intentional in any way. that said - i find it hard to imagine they did not have these scores ready last week, when they (in my humble opinion) ought to have foreseen this potential delay and released the scores on Friday. but hey, it's only our lsat scores we're talking about here ... not like it's important or anything .
... dude, i don't know about you but my lsat prep was considerably more rigorous than boarding up a few windows and buying some extra batteries. and i'm in the eye of this storm. obviously, i hope everyone remains safe in the next 24 hours, including our friends @ lsac. i just wish they released the damned scores on Friday, that is all.WhiteyCakes wrote:Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. So in conclusion: "Damn you LSAC for not adhereing to my likely simplistic view of how scores are collected and reported. Just give me my score at my convenience". Sounds about right.jgotz1118009 wrote:... dude, i don't know about you but my lsat prep was considerably more rigorous than boarding up a few windows and buying some extra batteries. and i'm in the eye of this storm. obviously, i hope everyone remains safe in the next 24 hours, including our friends @ lsac. i just wish they released the damned scores on Friday, that is all.WhiteyCakes wrote:Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. excuse me, but you are the one who is clearly ignorant of modern score release history. and per your unsupported assumptions regarding my 'simplistic views' on how the exam is graded, equated, etc. all i have to say is, blow me you pretentious douche bag. as anyone who is familiar with the lsat knows, they typically have these scores out well before the official release date and to have expected what can only be described as an historically consistent release date is in no way 'simplistic.'WhiteyCakes wrote:So in conclusion: "Damn you LSAC for not adhereing to my likely simplistic view of how scores are collected and reported. besides the prep for the storm, i think there are other reasons lsac may have delayed scores:excuse me, but you are the one who is clearly ignorant of modern score release history. and per your unsupported assumptions regarding my 'simplistic views' on how the exam is graded, equated, etc. all i have to say is, blow me you pretentious douche bag. as anyone who is familiar with the lsat knows, they typically have these scores out well before the official release date and to have expected what can only be described as an historically consistent release date is in no way 'simplistic.'
