I think you fail to realize most ITT don't particularly care if the OP got a 175 or not.bgood2texas wrote:A lot of people getting trolled ITT

That's nothing.... My little brother who is one and a half, still hasn't learned how to speak yet and even he scored a 178 on the LSAT. LSAT is a joke to him, for him the real challenge will be to cure cancer and save the world.msmith19 wrote:13 old brother 173 lsat cold..I lol'd

*dramatic pause*. Or plunge it into chaos. The choice is his.relevantfactor wrote:That's nothing.... I scored a 175 on an early 90s exam cold. I missed 8 on LG, but that was ok because back then the LSAT's curve was much more forgiving than it is now. LR has always been easycakes for me and I had a formal logic class in college that probably helped a lot.PDaddy wrote:
A 165 cold diagnostic I can totally believe. A 175 cold diagnostic? That's the top .0005% of the population, and even that is not completely cold...more like "lukewarm".
Could OP be that guy/gal? Sure. Is it likely? No!
OP: My advice would be to not get *too* comfortable.
If you just bought the first 10 Real LSATs book that was ever published (and subsequently got just old 90s tests) I would retake a post-2007 exam. New types of LR questions have been introduced since then and the test has a bit of a different feel. I was shocked when PT'ed a 165 after moving over to the newer exams.
If you did it on a new exam...congrats; but pay attention to what question stems you are missing and why. Be sure you're timing right and be rigorous when studying--go back to every question you guessed on and look at it, even if you guessed right.
If you do find you are not consistently scoring 175+ after you self-study for a little while you could investigate and see if there are competent tutors in your area. I never took a class and my understanding of LG in particular was lower than what it should have been. I could go minus zero on the whole test minus LG and still bomb a logic game now and then. If you're in a similar boat it might be worth it to watch the process of how other people internalize games.
Anyway GL I'm sure you'll do well.

Re: Took a practice test cold and scored a 175. Now what?
I sat cold on June last year testing and got a 134. I was beyond depressed. I thought the world is going to end. So I took a pilgrimage to the Himalayas. I ended up meeting some monks who belong in a secret community. I joined them immediately after they told me they could give me the power of foresight. After 3 months of meditation with them and doing other unspeakable things, I came back to the states. Started Pting, got 45 180s in before the June 2012. Took June one, scored a 182 because the LSAC found my essay to be too enlightening. If anyone's interested, I manually copied down all the monks writings and willing to sell them for 49.99 per copy.
