Anyone notice if the McGraw-Hill practice tests seem to be harder/easier than actual tests ? What have you scored on them compared to actual tests?

I wouldn't prep with anything other than actual questions from actual tests.

If I'm not mistaken, Mcgraw-Hill is a pathetic prep company. How some of these companies turn a profit, I will never know. Truly astounding.

I know that it is a bad resource. I am just curious about their practice test trends.

I'm gonna bet, with the way this site is, there probably aren't too many posters who have used them.

First off, this is a post by shinners, not bp shinners - it's my personal opinion, and in no way reflects the views of Blueprint.

When I prepped for the LSAT back in aught-five, I just bought every book on Amazon, including the McGraw-Hill book. I reliably scored 5-10 points worse than on actual exams when using their questions, and I was constantly distracted by the obvious gaps in the questions. I definitely found them 'harder', not because they were difficult, but because they weren't as well-written as the actual questions.

I strongly recommend only using actual questions to prep.

Thank you bpshiners, that is what I was looking for. I think the same is true for me. I only decided to take the LSAT and became interested in law school in like September. I took a few actual tests and scored 165-168. I did terrible on the logic game because I didn't know what to expect. I only dropped 1-3 on RC and LR sections though. After studying using MANY different resources I took 4 practice tests from Mcgraw-Hill. It seemed hard because the answers were ambiguous and debatable even. I was averaging 170-172 on the tests. Hopefully I will do even better on the actual test. I still think I dropped 5-7 on the LG but I might not have missed any of LR and RC (They were easy a hell compared to the M-H).
