Assuming I don't do as good as I wanted to this October, are their any dangers/risks to taking the test in December? I want to apply for the Fall next year. Will I be cutting it too close?

December is still good for the Fall. Most schools stop accepting applications around February or March, so you would be applying in the middle of the admissions process.
