"TONIGHT, WE DINE IN YALE."
Alorain steps into the room. "It's time."
Mrizza, Worm, and the rest of the retakers nod grimly. They have seen the combat they face today before. They have trained for this. They will conquer the land from which they were forced to retreat.
Today they will emerge victorious.
President Obama and Mitt Romney are returning from their super awkward lunch together. Romney squints as he notices a group of people marching down the opposite side of the road in the distance.
"My Mormon God," he says. President Obama looks up from his game of Words With Friends with Putin and gasps.
"Pull the car over," he orders. He and Romney step out from the limousine as the retakers march past on their way to the testing center. Obama raises his hand in salute, and Romney and the Secret Service follow.
"Godspeed," the president whispers, a single tear rolling down his cheek.
Wormfather kicks down the door to the test center as he and the retakers arrive. A nervous young man nearly jumps out of his skin as they storm the hallway.
"How long did you guys study for?" he asks.
They laugh in unison.
"Longer than you've been alive," Mrizza growls.
"Why don't you have any pencils?" a girl asks Wormfather as he scans the room for the proctor.
"I'm writing my answers in BLOOD," he roars, cutting open his palm with a knife. The girl screams. The proctor sees him and approaches.
"Sir, that's not approp-"
He is stopped cold by Wormfather's stare.
"... Carry on."
The retakers seat themselves as booklets begin to be distributed. They smile and nod at each other. Today is their day.
The first section is 26 Must Be True questions. The second, four Basic Linear logic games. The third, four passages from "See Spot Run." The fourth is a connect the dots puzzle which forms a giraffe. The fifth, the experimental, lights itself on fire in shame before the glory of the retakers, taking the writing section with it.
The proctor weeps as he calls time on the final section. "All of you have made 180s. Additionally, you have earned honorary 4.33 GPAs. I bow before you. Please have mercy on my soul."
Alorain steps before the proctor, sword in hand. He raises the sword. The proctor flinches, but Alorain drives the sword into the tiled floor of the testing room.
"You are forgiven," he whispers. The proctor bursts into tears.
The retakers exit the testing center, each to go their own separate ways. Today, they conquered the test. Today, they are heroes.
(Good luck you guys. We're all counting on you.)

-6 on PT66's RC. And I have a nice wicked head cold.
I'm going in tomorrow to fail the LSAT. So I can at last be free of this self-inflicted purgatory.
If I had had a different job, or no job I would have been able to break 170 easily. So much for my dreams.
And it's angering and infuriating to such a degree. I'm going to look for another job because if those losers made me just like them, a bunch of corporate ladder bastards I'll be damned if I stayed there now that they've succeeded in turning my dreams to ashes.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Be careful what you wish for because you might get it. I spent a good amount of time before June and October pissed off that I had a job and then the day after the October scores came out I got laid off (which sucks but admittedly it was nice to have the day to study and the night to relax, the reality of being unemployed will hit me on Monday). And if it helps my friend took the LSAT with a cold and got a 166. I know you want a 170 but she said the reason it was a 166 and not a 170+ was that she got 6 LR questions wrong in a row, she thinks she just zoned out for a few minutes without realizing it. I'm sure if you relax tonight and go to bed early you can keep it together for a few hours tomorrow morning and do fine.GabeQuixote wrote:-6 on PT66's RC. And I have a nice wicked head cold.

Re: December 2012 Re-takers
Did a full dress rehearsal today retaking PT66 @ quiet library:
RC:-1
LR:-2
LG:-1 (How many assistants other than Julio )
LR:-2
Scaled Score: 174
Feeling pretty good overall, especially about the RC. That LG error cost me 2 points so I gotta be more careful on the real thing. Definitely feel as sharp and ready as I've ever been, so lets get it on!

In no way am I wishing to lose my job now. I'm saying that my job has prevented me from reaching my dreams and reduced me to a life of soul crushing corporate work. 4th time taking this LSAT, and I feel burnt out.
Did PT 63 LR2 but couldn't finish on time. I sort of knew the answers and so I spent a lot of time trying to justify each answer choice and that messed up everything.
It sucks when you have no fresh PTs.

Wow, I just got struck by a big wave of anxiety. Probably has to do with the fact that this is my third take. Its do or die, for a couple of years at least.

I just did PT 67, S3... DESTROYED IT! I didn't remember anything! Still had 4 minutes to spare. Not super fast, but a lot better than when I first did that section.
I'm going to do a little bit more AR review, some LR, and then I'm going to call it a day.
Drive safely, Worm!

Al and Gabe,
You guys will do great. Think about how much effort that you've put into this test. Just take a break, and get your mind off of the test. Play some video games, read a book, or go for a run.
Good luck and don't psych yourselves out ^^
Remember, you guys deserve this~

Gabe, you're not sitting in a bad place with a 166, URM status, and tons of work experience.
Your GPA can easily be overlooked given how long you have been out of undergrad. This isn't the end of line if you don't break 170. And you will. You murdered tons of LG sections in the past couple of days, and there is no way !Kung-esque shit gets thrown at us again. You've got a great cushion for RC. Just go in there and do what you do best: answer a crapload of questions right.

But, lets say you do it again tomorrow. It is 2012 after-all.
You -0 LG, and -4 LR at worst.
Boom, -10.
But guess what, LSAC throws us a bone and gives us a -12 curve to make up for SandyGate.
You enjoy your 171/2 and get into every T14 you apply to.
Happy end to the story.

PT 67 today. Zones. WTF. I started laughing when I finished b/c of it. It was the maniacal laughter of the certifiably insane, but whatever.
-1 RC (#10 - !Kung)
-3 LR
-3 LR
-8 LG (Fuck you Zones)
Scaled 167. I'm shooting regional, so if I walk out with that tomorrow I'd be happy. I was pretty emotionally amped and also jittery as hell b/c I drank my normal load of coffee and then a 5 Hour Energy. Lesson - tomorrow morning one cup of coffee only and the 5 Hour Energy.
Good luck to you all. I'm off to work Zones.
