Half-filled in bubbles

Post by fishbulb » Sat Oct 06, 2012 6:04 pm

If i only half filled in a couple bubbles, will these be marked incorrect? If so, if the half-filled bubbles are the correct answers, will hand-grading count them as correct?

Can't offer any first-hand knowledge, but my best guess would be that the standards for what counts as a "bubble" would be pretty low. Half a bubble does seem like it may be pushing it, however. Did you really only fill in half? You probably filled in more. Doesn't really make sense that you would have filled in half unless you were doing so right as time expired and the proctor called time.

I'm not sure, but this might help: scantron runs the answer selection sheet machines (at least they used to). So remember in high school when you got a question wrong because you didn't erase your stupid dash-mark correctly? Yeah. I wouldn't be too worried.

Go with the hand-grading.

I'm going with hand grading because I have three erase marks in addition to my faulty bubbling...

I had 3-4 eraser marks, but is there any point in getting your test hand graded before they release the scores/image of your scantron/credited answer key?

Can't you still request a hand graded test after that point if there was indeed a problem with the test picking up your answers?

So why do it now?

Oh, well I am going to wait until I know my score for sure. But I am assuming that I will have to.
