I'd say -13. It just felt like it with that BS on LG.

Good luck to the person who thought that the curve is going to be -14

How do I decide what the curve will be? What is the method used?

You just predict what you think the curve will be based on how difficult you thght the exam was/compared to past exams. There isn't a formula, just a prediction.

To get a 170. Maybe I've been on TLS too long and assumed everyone knew.

What would you say an average curve it? 11?

Also, I'll be interested to see how accurate this ends up being. I would imagine that the collective sense of TLS would be close to correct.
Has it been accurate in the past?

There isn't a huge track record, but IIRC for every October and December test it has been under-predicted and for the only June test for which there's a record it was over-predicted. I think all the past polls recorded predictions of -12.
I looked up June 2012. If that exam was a -11 this one will certainly be a -12 or -13. I can't see -14 though.

June was a -10.
