I'm pretty much doing the same. Just curious--are you guys planning on using the December score for applying for this cycle (fall 2013 admission)?

I plan to take it but I do not plan to apply this cycle, I'm taking a year off and I don't want to apply late. I've been studying off and on for a few months now because I've had trouble deciding when to take the test. Things would be a lot simpler if February test gave you back more than just a number.

I was prepping for October, didn't think I was going to be where I wanted to be at by the Oct administration, so now I'll be taking the Dec. Currently still in a class and prepping as if taking in October, though.

And to carboncopyx, yes, I'll be applying this cycle w/ the December score. Is that what you're going to be doing?

I'm not sure yet... I've been receiving a lot of mixed information about how it might be disadvantageous to apply with a December score since students would have been admitted already.

I started in July. Initially I wanted to take it in Oct. but Dec. is the better option for me.

I'll also be taking the December lsat. I've been familiar with the test format for about a year now but I've only just started studying for it. I do intend to apply this coming cycle. I had intended to sit the lsat in June or October but I know I wouldn't be ready because of other commitments. Once August is over I can dedicate all my time to the lsat.

Getting ready for my final retake in Dec. Going to apply upon receipt of my score. Sucks to be applying late, but I would never have been ready for the Oct.

unless the rest of your app is good to go and you really feel confident with your score, applying that late isn't a great idea in terms of $$$

Checking in...decided to take another year off so I'll be applying Fall '13. This will be my 3rd and final attempt!

Right. The rest of my app is ready. And regardless of receiving any $ I will be able to stay away from 6 figure debt. Basically the equation for me is highest LSAT possible ==> best ranked school possible.

So are y'all taking the December LSAT? What's the advantage of not waiting til Feb. or June or even Oct. 2013?

I'm split between cramming for this October (scoring probably high 160's) or taking a year off, taking it next year and hopefully getting low-mid 170's. Pting mid-high 160's now. Gotta decide soooon.

I'm planning on applying for next fall, so December is really my only option at this point. I probably should have gotten my head out of my ass and started studying for the October exam again a few months ago, but at this point its too late.

I'm taking the December exam. I will be busy with my post bac teaching requirements in the Spring so I ruled out Feb and June, plus the Feb exam is undisclosed. I also plan on applying day one next cycle so October is a no go.

On another note this will be my third time sitting for the LSAT and I don't have much material left to stretch out my study schedule.
