I am expecting to get this watch in the mail. I am hoping it does not make any noises. Will the multiple dials be an issue?

Because water resistant is necessary in case your LSAT hall is flooded and you have to swim your way out while using your watch to keep track of how much longer you can hold your breath.

It has dials on the left side also. I have never owned a watch made for lefties, nor have a owned a chronograph before. I plan to wear this watch all the time though, not just for the lsat. I really hope it is allowed. It feels clutch in many ways.

I read somewhere that multiple dials were not allowed by LSAC based on an email response by someone who asked ahead of time. I have a regular analog watch on hand if they give me issues the day of tho

I wore a chronograph during both of my LSAT sessions without any problem. You should be fine.

is there a reason you are set on this watch in particular? if you have a back up that functions fine for the purposes of the test, i would go ahead and just use the back up during PTs and during the actual test. If your proctor decides to be a dick and doesn't allow the multiple dials, you don't want the added stress of figuring out how to reset your back up during the break if you aren't used to it.

This watch has a chronograph which serves as a non-digital stopwatch. The backup is just a normal analog watch that I will have to reset to 12 each time and let the minute hand go to 35. I can't set the second hand on it though which is annoying. Its also a righty watch so I need to take it off to turn the bezel (I wear all my watches on my right wrist).

I used a chronograph with multiple dials, and it was no big deal. Don't make it an issue though. Emailing ahead of time is just asking for LSAC to prohibit your item. Don't even mention it to the proctor.

Yup that is exactly what I plan on doing at this point.

Bring two watches just in case anyway. If an anal proctor makes you take this watch off, just give him a smug look and flash him your other (perfectly legal) one, and ask with a cheeky grin, "would this one be okay?"

Lol, with the power the proctors have to void your exam for the slightest infractions, I think I will do everything you just said except the cheeky grin.

Anyways, I am trying to work on having a mental clock in sections for the next few weeks because I find that looking at my watch slows me down because I look too often.

My friend already complimented the watch and I got it two hours ago, so maybe it was worth it even if I wasn't taking this test.

Just depends on your proctor. None of the proctors at either of my tests gave a goddamn what happened in our room. My first LSAT we had watches beeping, pencils tapping, a phone ringing multiple times, etc. My second test was at NU and the proctors were students so they just read for class the entire time...didn't look up at the room once.

Why put it on your wrist at all? I leave mine sitting on the desk top. As an added bonus my watch, when clasped shut, collapses into the perfect angle for viewing, I'm sure many do.

I think I tried this with my digital watch and the glare made it hard to see the screen. I generally feel more secure knowing its attached to my body because I can put it out of view unless I want to see the time. I will try that though once I get more comfortable with timing

Wore mine as well. Doesn't beep, so what's the issue?
(Of course, people were wearing hats and had cell phones in my administration, so I may not e the best source of stringent proctor behavior...)

Before our test the proctors handed out the writing prompts (they're supposed to do that after the test is completed). I had zoned out at that point and when they handed me a slip of paper I was like "what the hell's this" and picked it up. Saw "Writing Prompt" at the top in big bold letters and put it back down immediately. Proctor came over and got a ridiculous attitude with me as I was apologizing, went on a bit of a power trip saying things like "I could kick you out for this, you know."

This proctor made you complete that form during a timed section? If so, that is bs dude (actually it seems this was before timing began -- that would still mess up my concentration tho) I will do by best to be invisible to proctors. Any issues with them is not worth it at all

Also Did any of you that have already taken an exam have issues with proctors keeping time? I sometimes wonder if they give us 10-15 extra seconds to avoid complaints by people taking the exam.
