I remember that question. I narrowed it down to B and E and correctly chose B because 1) it felt like a stronger choice despite my issue with answer choice E because annual migration route = NOT unfamiliar territory = this PB is NOT navigating, and 2) answer choice E was eliminated because it said " beyond immediate range of senses" in the stimulus, whereas Choice E said "extreme sense of blah blah" which the stimulus somewhat accounted for being possible. Hope that helps.

Answer (E) actually strengthens the author's argument, since it supports the notion that polar bears do, indeed, rely on their senses for navigation. We are looking to weaken this presumption, however. Choice (B) does so by casting down on this idea - if polar bears were released on their annual migration route, then accordingly the path must be familiar to them, and hence they may not have had to rely on their senses after all.
