How much does taking the LSAT in December affect one's chances for admission in a T14 cycle (3.6 GPA no LSAT yet hoping for 170+)?

Applying in January certainly will not help you. You would already have missed the ea/Ed deadlines. Almost all schools will have already given a decent number of seats away. That being said, very good numbers will still be seen as valuable. Is there any chance to take in October?
