Think Clearly and Quietly

Does anyone else need to think out loud in order to work on some parts of the LSAT? How have you learned to focus without thinking aloud?

I honestly can't make it through some questions, especially logical reasoning, without making some sort of verbal assertions while drawing conclusions. I can't do that on test day (obviously) but I can't seem to concentrate without doing it! UGH. help please?!

Lol I had this problem. I some practice tests in public places, where people looked at me funny if I talked to myself, to train myself out of it.

I didn't either, until my mom knocked on my door while I was taking a PT to ask who I was on the phone with.

You can read to yourself without using your vocal cords, just try reading it very quietly to yourself until you are moving your lips but no sound is coming out. ("Subvocalize")

For my part, I never did this until I started taking the LSAT, but I found it helped my comprehension quite a lot.

haha I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I just need to know how to control it before test day comes and the proctor asks me to step out of the room for being a distraction.

You could try Spreeder. It's designed to stop you from reading out loud. Might apply to thinking too:
