If you bombed the June LSAT and want to retake in October?

How do schools consider a significant jump in your score? If June was my first try and in October I score significantly better will the jump be looked at favorably regardless of what my initial score was?

No. A simple search would reveal they take your highest score and almost entirely neglect lower scores.
Hope that helps.

Some do average. I believe it's a minority though.

I average your scores. But I'm not a school.

I thought Y=holistic, H=averaging scores, and S=taking the highest score while still taking all of one's scores into consideration. Am I wrong?

harvard, while stating they average, assuredly does not
y/s yea pretty much.. no one can say how their admissions work, they have their pick of anyone in the country; no numbers make you a lock

Nobody averages. If they had one spot left and two candidates, 170 + 164/170, then yes, maybe the retake hurts you. Otherwise, no.

Oh, it's definitely good to know that H doesn't average scores anymore

Thank you for the info!

Think of a retake just a soft factor. ie 162/170, you functionally have a 170 just with a minor negative soft for the 162 that will likely end up meaning absolutely nothing
