gap in the score that would get you into one tier from another tier. Let's say we're talking about T14 and you know that given your LSDAS, you need a 168 to get into DNCG but you need a 174 to get MVPB.

How would that affect you mentally knowing that there's a huge gap in the LSAT score you would need to get from one tier to another? Would you even think about that kind of stuff?
I think it would be most applicable to splitters in particular.

You aim for a 180 and get as close as you can.

I look at my reach schools 75th percentile and think to myself, "I need to prep well over that score."

Sheer repetition and brute force, and putting in massive amounts of time. Have tunnel vision til test day. Eat sleep and breathe the test, and aim for perfection. Then, if you "fail" you're in the 97th percentile or something.

This is the best approach for any test, really.
