Can someone explain why choice B is correct and not D?
I already looked at the Manhattan response and I sort of get it. Normally with assumption questions the "new" term in the conclusion (we'll call it term 4) would link together with a premise (we'll call it term 3) in an answer choice like "4-->3" (choice D) not "3-->4" (choice B). What is the reason this question is atypical? Is there a certain nuance I'm missing?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
