What Logic Games Bible is the right one to get?

Post by silentbob » Wed May 23, 2012 2:00 pm

I just recently withdrew from my June LSAT test date and decided to take it in OCT. because my PT's were low (149). Ive heard alot of people say to buy the logic games bible, but when I search it there are alot of different versions of it that vary greatly in price. Which one should I buy? And how much could I expect to improve with it? I can currently only make it through about 2 gams in the 35 minute limit. Thanks!

There's only one. It's made by Powerscore. You're probably seeing different years/releases of it. Get the most recent one.

the more expensive one. The cheaper one is just a workbook. It should be around 50-60 bucks

I also went to the library today and got the "Kaplain LSAT 2004 Edition" and "LSAT Success 2004". I know they are obviously alittle out dated but has anyone used or found any of these books helpful? Oh and has anyone ever heard of the 9-12-18 method?? Thanks.

Definitely get the newest version, as Stalkmore suggested. It has helped me tremendously, and should be able to do the same for you, especially if you're only finishing two games in the 35 minutes.

Well, my other two sections were comparatively okay from the beginning. Here's the important stuff in my case:

On my diagnostic PT, I got a 166. That included -10 on the LG section, and if I hadn't done some extremely lucky bubbling as time ran out, it would have been worse (I had 5 left, and I just put "C" for all of them, and it turned out that "C" was the right answer for 3 out of the 5).

I picked up the LG bible about two months ago, and now consistently get -0 on the LG section, and never more than -3. Last night, I did three brand new (to me) sections (PT 17, PT 42, and PT 43) and I got -0 on all of them, with 10, 5, and 5 minutes to spare, respectively. Although I still run into the odd tricky game here and there, in general LG games have gone from nearly impossible to almost too easy. It has helped me tremendously.

I would say that, everything considered, the LG Bible alone has helped me increase my score by about 8-10 points, and that is with a 166 diagnostic PT. Best best BEST money I ever spent.
