This should also be the watch you wear to all job interviews. It will tell the employer that you are serious about the law.

I don't think it's weird at all. Pacing is something that many people find difficult on the LSAT.

So I posted this in the June thread but I guess I'll post it here too. I really don't understand the need for this watch. To me the only benefits are 1) the fast resetting and 2) the different face of the watch with the colors. I'll grant that fast resetting be nice but pulling out the crown of a watch and spinning it a couple times to get back to 12 o'clock takes three seconds max. The colors on the face seem pretty useless to me. It is very easy to tell when you are at/past 30 minutes without looking at any colors.

For 20$ less you could get this watch http://www.amazon.com/Timex-T2N654KW-We ... bs_watch_2. It has all the functionality of the LSAT watch, but can actually be worn after test day.

If money isn't a concern, then I guess go for it but it just seems frivolous.

I don't own a normal wristwatch.

You're going to want one before getting a legal job. It's considered rude to pull out your phone in a meeting and look at it, even if you're just looking at the time. If you look at a watch, no one can think you're checking facebook.

You would have to be insane to pay $49 for this thing when you can get a regular watch (that even does magical things like tell time) for far less, and not look like a dingus when you use it.

Holy crap I was in my LSAT class when I posted this and didn't bother checking the price.

I'll be using a normal watch :O

If keeping track of time with a normal watch and properly pacing yourself is a problem, then there are bigger and better things to focus on and do to be better prepared to achieve a good score on test day.

$49 for that thing is silly. You can get a much better wrist watch that might even be fashionable you can wear later too for far less $$ that wont make people laugh at you when they see it. Just go to Target, Walmart, Costco or SamsClub and check out the selections.
(Or if you are in NYC, just hit the street and buy a fake Rolex so you can look super cool on test day)

Either buy the watch and complete the silly circle or don't. Though, I wouldn't worry about looking foolish in a room full of grown ass adults who brought snacks in sandwich baggies and have 16 pencils, 4 erasers, and a pencil sharpener on their desks.

Buy a big boy (or girl) watch with a stopwatch on the face

Yep. Or get a watch with a rotating bezel so you can just move the 0 to whatever time the section starts.

Given the level of intellectual skills required to be prepared to perform well on the LSAT on test day being discussed in this thread, perhaps we should now move on to 'how to bubble properly'?

Pencils and watches are two things that I and I assume most people DON'T want to have to worry about on test day, which is why we are discussing them well beforehand. I've never been great at keeping track of time on analog clocks, but luckily this skill isn't tested on the LSAT. It's a skill that I could probably get better at with practice, but it's unnecessary in this day and age. I'd rather concentrate my efforts on improving my LSAT score. Hence, I'd rather buy a watch that makes the countdown as simple as possible than a Timex with a regular face, since I won't wear either after the test. Both look tacky IMO, but at least the LSAT watches have kitsch value.

If this is difficult for you, law school might not be a good choice. From what I've heard, it's harder than being able to count to 35.
