After drilling my brain gets exhausted and I end up going on my computer/playing Battlefield/stuff like that. Any tricks you guys have to quickly regain focus. I mean not only periods between studying, but also while studying. For example, if you find yourself losing focus and focusing on external things during a LR section how do you regain focus?

I have exactly the same problem when I study. Working somewhere where there are absolutely no distractions at all is TCR. I have a cubby locked down on the quiet floor of my college's library. But, I get distracted even then – I drop beats on the table like it's middle school. Generally, though, if you actually travel somewhere with the sole intent of studying, you'll probably study when you get there.

ETA: See, at this very moment I'm trying to study at my house. Here I am, however, poasting on TLS.

What I did for the LSAT: Go to a tiny corner of some building on campus with nothing but a few pencils and a copy of the test I was taking. No phone, no computer, nothing else and just work. If I caught myself watching the clock, I took a few deep breaths and dove back into it.

I changed up my study environment and never gave myself access to a computer because my focus goes to total shit with a screen in front of me. I did sections and tests everywhere from my apartment, to a crowded library complete with scratching pencils, to a late nite silent empty library, to Barnes and Noble.

It helped me especially going off campus to places because it almost felt like an adult field trip of sorts and it allowed me to reward myself when I finished a section or a test. Plus dealing with distractions is a big part of the real deal, so putting yourself in a position where you have to deal with all sorts of them is good practice for some. Definitely take the computer out of the picture though.

I have a problem with alcohol. After about 8 hours during the morning (7-3, 8-4, 10-6) I need a drink. Also, I have a dog that needs attention too. I hope I Do well in June, I am so nervous.
