Question about PS LGB drills and "templates"

I just started working on the Logic Games Bible and I have a question about the first set of drills. Right before the drills, the book was mentioning that you could make templates of possible item placements if you have some rule like A__D for example. My question is, should I be making a global diagram + a seperate template that creates those possibilites...even if there are up to 3-4 of them?

Junebugman,
Whenever possible, spend as little time as is necessary to effectively diagram the rules and then go to the questions. Don't waste time trying to figure out the answers to the questions you haven't even looked at. At best, you'll break even because you did work you would just have had to do anyway; and at worst, you'll map possibilities that will never help you.
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'm just on the first drill section which seems to test my ability to read the rules and make various inferences. I gotta say though, these LG seem hard...I'm barely starting on unbalanced Linear Games and it's really something. This is coming from someone who used to help tutor people in Formal Logic lol

Mark down the RULES but don't necessarily mark down the map itself i.e.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
1 2 3 4 5 6 7
B A
That's going to look messed up I can already tell, but you know what I mean. Only do that for the individual questions. Just mark down the rules at first.

So I should basically make one large global diagram with the rules listed and then just make a mini diagram next to each question using the local rules added within the question?
Also on a slightly related question, do you recommend I purchase the Logic Games Bible workbook and separate flashcard box to supplement the actual bible?

Junebugman,
I recommend purchasing
this.
Work through the games by type until you master each one. Refer to supporting material if you get stumped on a game/etc.
Repeat any game you struggle with until you can crush every game.
