went a little berserko last week and made a test tracking tool for everyone.

i'm not selling anything, it's all free. you don't even have to sign in if you just want to grade a test and look at some pretty pie charts. but if you do sign in, then you can track all of your tests and get some comprehensive charts for your studying pleasure. i wouldn't even require you to sign in but unfortunately it would be impossible to tell who's test is who's otherwise.

it's still developing.. i have some neat ideas for extending this stuff if you like it, and i'm also open to suggestions!

here are some screenshots!

a comprehensive test overview page (for looking at all your tracked tests)

a cumulative plot of your tests over time

a breakdown of your performance for each section type

and a test results page (which you can access without signing in). i think this makes grading tests a bit more pleasant, especially when you know you have such pretty graphs to look forward to..

Very pleasant charts. I really wish I had this while I was studying for the LSAT. Im sure it will become a great resource for many people.

i think it will be a pretty useful tool for people as well. i remember trying to learn excel and shit when i was studying, so i could plot out my tests haha.. seems sorta silly for people to have to do that

i'll be adding a functionality that'll let you input the date you took a test, so you can apply stuff retroactively. it should be done by tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

OMG are you kidding? Where were you three years ago? I paid for a test-prep course mostly because of this score tracking stuff.

just added a note-taking feature too! you can optionally write notes for each test by typing in the little 'notes' box and pressing enter to complete writing the note. i have made it so that you can reuse notes from test to test, i.e. 'untimed test', 'ran out of time', etc, since the note box will remember all the notes you've made (but it won't be visible to others, though I can change this if enough people want to share notes.

happy to help. no one should be paying a thousand bucks to a prep test company for statistical feedback, but that's just my opinion.

just finished implementing a new recommendation engine. basically, after you input tests, you will get the question types/category types listed which are likely the best areas for you to study. al, our data scientist, is open to answering any of your questions, if you have them.

naturally this becomes more accurate as you input more tests.

i should also mention that you need to be signed in to access the recommendation feature, since it's more of a cumulative thing.

I think there might be an error in your answer key for PT 60. In section 3, I answered D for #5, which is what the answer key at the back of the test says, but your site is marking it wrong.

thanks for the update! I'm looking into this now, and will try to fix it in the next 10 minutes or so. I really appreciate everyone's patience with this, it's super new and we're really trying it make this thing better and more useable.

Just my $0.02, but it'd be nice if there was a quicker way to input your answers from tests. The current input interface looks cool, but it takes much longer to input the answers by clicking on them rather than by typing them into an excel sheet, for example. It's not a huge deal, though. I love the rest of the site. Thanks again!

is this an issue for anyone else? i've been somewhat looking forward to extending and creating new functionality for the personal analytics section, but if the test inputting is a pain in the butt, then it should definitely be addressed sooner rather than later.

I had the key input thing in the back of my mind for a while, but wasn't sure if a ton of people would use it. i also prefer key input when i can get it.

This looks cool. I wish it existed when I was studying for the LSAT! Major props.

thanks! you guys are awesome. i was pretty nervous about letting people see it, but everyone's been pretty terrific about it, so thank you.

also please know that this is a work-in-progress. we've released the score grader and recommendations pretty early (we figured that it would be useful to people now, and why hold it back when there could be some utility gained by people currently); but there will be some heavy iterations over this stuff by the time the october test rolls on by (hint: things will change and buttons will move mysteriously). if there are any super obvious bugs or anything defective, please let me know and I'll do what I can to get them fixed promptly.
