Awesome find. I'm surprised the General Background section ever made it onto the test. It seems so contrary to the original goal of leveling the playing field. Look at this one:

Scottish dialect is characteristic of the poetry of
a) Thomas Gray
b) Jonathan Swift
c) Samuel Johnson
d) William Blake
e) Robert Burns

They should bring back poorly-drawn dogs (p39-40).

The common word section (VI) actually looks kind of fun, like something you would find in a Sunday paper.

SO glad I didn't have to take this one - very interesting though, it seems a lot older than it really is.

Wow. Even just looking over it, the artificial language and verb tense stress me out.

Is anyone else a bit grateful towards their LSAT studying now...? So glad I didn't have to study for THAT type of test O.O;;

EDIT: also, show of hands... how many people are going to attempt to do this entire test?

So bizarre. WTF is with the artificial language section? How is that helpful in determining someone's aptitude for being a lawyer?

"The test form administered in 1948 required a full day of testing and consisted on 10 sections, named Verbal Analogies, Sentence Completion, Paragraphs, Word Classification, two sections of Reading Comprehension, Figure Classification, Debates, Contrary and Irrelevant Statements and Reasoning."

FWIW, a lot of these sections were pretested but never implemented. LSAC messed around with AI but it was never scored on an official test.
