When do you need to register for LSAT?

Hi, my friend told me about this forum and it looks like it has some great info!
Anyways, my first question is as the title suggests, or more specifically, if I am planning to take the test in October this year, when do I need to register by? (I'm asking because I'm not 100% sure yet, and I don't want to waste registration fees in case I have to change the date)

I registered in August for an October test, and of the 3 test sites in my state, only one (90-minute drive away) had any spots left.

I had to switch my first test date from October to December because when I attempted to register in JUNE (!!!) test centers in my city were completely gone and the closest was 2 hours away.

I registered in early September for the October exam.
I went to school in Boston. I took the exam about half an hour west of Philadelphia. That was non-ideal.
Register early.

Yeah, I registered today for the June LSAT, and I had the choice of driving somewhere 50 or 70 miles away. I decided to go for the 70 mile away place, since it's by a beach, and make a weekend trip out of it.
