Improving from the Diagnostic Test

I took the June 2007 LSAT diagnostic tonight and scored a 155, not amazing I know. I can make excuses that I was tired from work, end of the day, yada yada yada but what's the point.

Anyway, how much can someone who puts in a considerable effort expect to improve? I am planning on studying nearly full-time for 3 months and am generally pretty organized. I want to score in the 170s, but don't know if this is realistic given my starting point.

I was thinking I'd do a self-study method popularized by some poster on the board who left a detailed entery a couple years ago. Do you think this is a good idea? Is 170s possible?

Thanks in advance. And sorry for the rambling, its been a long day.

Gratzi

Totally doable, if you're willing to put in the work.

You should use Pithypike's guide or http://lsatblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/3- ... edule.html

Don't give up :)

155 is not a low initial diagnostic. It's actually probably on the higher end. When you realize that most people who take the actual exam score a 152 or lower, you're already above average without any prep.

In my class, people who start off in the 155 region usually end up in the mid- to high-160s. Those that are great about asking questions, doing the homework, and understanding the material generally end up in the high-160s/low-170s, with a few people scoring higher.

So definitely possible!

My initial diagnostic was a 157, my last timed PT was a 173 AND I fucked a game up. Start studying hard and drill and practice till you love this test, you'll be fine.

I went from 155 to 174. I worked my ass off though.
