Importance of practicing on hard copies

I was wondering what people thought regarding the value of doing practice questions off a digital format/computer screen, or printing off questions to do by hand? On one hand, saving paper and ink is nice. On the other hand, it might be critical to have a paper copy to practice making marks on, or simply to get used to working with a paper copy rather than a computer screen. Thoughts?

It's useful, especially for LG, to get used to how little space you have to diagram, as there is no scratch paper allowed in the test. For the other types, especially RC, you wouldn't be able to make notes/marks on a screen.

it's best to really drill actual testing conditions so that you aren't thrown off at all on test day. maybe for individual section practice a screen or whatever is fine, but a large portion of your prep should be as-real-as-possible PTs.

Paper and ink is cheap. Get ink jet cartridge refill kits. Print quality is mediocre, but so are the LSAT booklets on test day.

If the LSAT were a computer-based test like the GRE, then there wouldn't be a problem. But it's not.

Get used to mimicking lsat conditions, even the paper.

Practice PTs by hand under as-real-as-you-can-get test conditions. the day you actually sit for the LSAT will be incredibly stressful; doing something that you're not familiar with, like bubbling in answers (do you do it after each question? after each page?) or making tiny LG diagrams in the margins, will only mess with your already stress-addled brain. give yourself the best chance possible!
