Anteater do you thin KJU is basically a puppet right now? I mean the 12 generals that always surround him probably have considerable influence. They will push him, presumably, toward the old stubborn north korea. Perhaps they'll oblige until the food arrives but then retract all promises.

That's probably the consensus view. KJI came into power at a later age and as the only suitable successor whereas KJU is younger (28-30) and wasn't the first choice to succeed KJI. I can only speculate but I think his foreign policy for the most part is shaped for him, as he gets older he'll likely take a stronger role.
