How bad does a second lower LSAT score look

So, I took Dec. LSAT and got a 169, and I wanted to retake in June as I have decided that I will probably apply next cycle. If I ended up getting like a 166-168, how bad would that hurt my application chances? I really hope to improve, but you never know. Also, how bad would it look to cancel if I feel I did worse than my 169? The thing is, I cancelled Oct's LSAT, so that would be a cancel, 169, cancel. Ugh.

Considering most schools consider your highest score only, I don't think it would hurt you much. It would only look negative to schools like Harvard, Stanford, and Yale, which, judging on your LSAT score, may be out of your range anyways. You should be fine.

Taking the LSAT again can really only help you, I think. You can definitely hit that 170, possibly even the 175+ area. This risk of you scoring lower and having the adcomms hold the lower score against you is far outweighed by the benefit of scoring even one point higher.

I got a 168 then turned around and apparently took the lsat with my head up my ass and got a 161. Hasn't hurt me at all so far.
