How to do LR faster with good accuracy?
If i take LR slowly, I can miss up to -2 each LR section if I finish it in 45 minutes or so, however, I miss more (-8) if I have to finish it in 35 minutes. I understand all the question types fairly well, should I do more drilling for the type(s) that give me most trouble? or should I practice more timed LR sections? What would be the best strategy? Thanks!

The bold portion is the answer.naillsat wrote:If i take LR slowly, I can miss up to -2 each LR section if I finish it in 45 minutes or so, however, I miss more (-8) if I have to finish it in 35 minutes. Get the accuracy down first, then introduce timing.

@it'sjustme: you mean get the accuracy up (fewer missing) first?

The idea is that the more accurate you are, the more confident, and by extension, the faster you'll be at answering questions.

I say set goals for yourself, like 10 in 10 minutes, 15 in 15 minutes, etc.

Now, he's telling you to reduce your accuracy first because that makes total sense.naillsat wrote:@it'sjustme: you mean get the accuracy up (fewer missing) first?

Practice practice practice. The more you do it, the more you will be able to spot patterns in the stimuli and anticipate the answer choices. That's what speeds it up considerably. For example if you have a MBT question and you can diagram, just connect them all together, do the contrapositive and quickly find your answer choice. Same goes for sufficient assumption questions.
