how long does it take to bubble in the scantron?

I do prep tests without a scantron (I just circle the answers), so I shouldn't aim at finishing in 35 minutes (because bubbling in the scantron would take extra time so I need to account for that). So how long do you think I should take to finish a section, so that I have adequate time for bubbling as well? 25 min? 30 min?

Why can't you just start using the scantron?

You really don't NEED to practice with a scantron like you're implying. As long as you finish the section with enough time left over during practice (allow like 2 minutes, which IMO is generous), you're good. It's not like you need to learn bubbling techniques like up/down or side to side. Color in the damn bubble and do it quick. Doesn't take brain cells. lol

Meh, I never did and scored a point higher on the real thing than I ever did on a PT, but I don't think that's common.

Seriously. OP, you really had to start a thread for this? How about, you know, trying it? You're going to want to before the day of the real thing, anyway. Plus it makes it easier to score afterwards--you probably save yourself time!

Your only solution is to reject any suggestion of practicing with a scantron (or reasonably calculating how long it takes to fill in 25ish bubbles) and instead build a scantron-stamping machine that you can smuggle into the test hidden in your trousers.

Why would you want to add a new element (albeit a small one) on the day of the real test? Just print out some damn scantrons and use them.

You shouldn't even have to print them out. LSAC provides them in the books of 10 Official LSAT's that they release.

Not gonna lie, I bought 2 of those and didn't realize they had scantrons in the back until like 3 days before I took the actual LSAT. Oh well.

lol! okay I'll try using a scantron on my PTs. I was just wondering how much longer it would take in general. Someone said about 2 minutes. I find that on the low side. I agree 10 is way too much. Maybe 3ish, 5 on the safe side.

Definitely start practicing with a scantron. They're widely available to print out if you're printing hte tests and included in the pre-printed materials. I don't know how typical this is but I've found myself making some bubbling transfer mistakes in my early PTs. I had to develop some techniques to double check my bubbling at various points. It'd be a shame to drop a point because you looked at the wrong question/answer while bubbling. You also need to decide if you want to bubble after each question or at logical places(end of game, end of reading, each page on LR). I think which bubbling method or the addition of bubbling could affect your rhythm. It might not matter, but it's not wise to take chances that are avoidable. Good luck.

2 minutes is more than enough for each section. Are you thinking 3-5 minutes for the entire test? You aren't allowed to flip through sections to record your previous answers.
