Headaches..

Post by Rickjames11 » Sun Nov 13, 2011 10:44 pm

Today I took my first prep test in a yr or so and my head started to hurt by the end of the second section. I couldn't even finish the test... It was quite frusterating. I'm not sure if with more practice it will go away?

Has anybody else had this problem? If so, what did you do in response?

I was drinking hot tea the whole time while taking the test and even took a cigarette break between the second and third sections. I walked around and when I returned I was still very much ineffective.

I don't believe it was stress because I was quite calm when taking the test. I don't know what to do..

Any suggestions/insight?

keep at it, you're starting to build your mental endurance. it's like running, you can't just go out and do a marathon one day, you have to work at it and build yourself up to it.

I hadn't studied bent over a book for 8 years, so I started getting really awful neck stress headaches during my LSAT studying. I ended up getting a prescription for migraine meds the week of the LSAT.

I get horrible migraines. They get worse once you get to law school!

The first time I took the LSAT one came on about 1/2 way through the first section. I don't know why, maybe the flourescent lights, but it was also at a time in my life where they were coming on several time per month. They've since slowed thankfully. I'd suggest taking the meds before hand, also, just in case.
