Kaplan LSAT Tutoring
How easy is it to become an LSAT tutor for Kaplan?
Do they hire most people who have the required scores, or is the vetting process more involving that that?

Not that easy. Your score is simply a prerequisite. Process is:
Class Presentation --> Interview --> Training --> Job
At each of those stages, Kaplan can, and will, tell you they are no longer interested in you becoming an employee.
Generally, there are enough people with a high enough LSAT score (they say 90%+ to teach but they prefer 95%+ and require 98/99%+ to teach some classes) that your score is not at all a determinative factor. It comes down to personality and how comfortable you are with engaging a classroom full of people.

Really depends on the market, I know a lot of places are hard up for tutors and essentially will take anyone with a score and a pulse. Others are able to be a lot more selective, you'd need a higher score. But the pulse is essentially mandatory.
