I had been consistently scoring in the mid 170's, even going as high as 178 on various PT's. My fluctuation always comes from my LG, which ranges from 0/-4. On test day I ended up doing very well on LR, decently on LG, and got -5 on RC, which is my lowest score in that section as far as I can remember. I hate that I am even considering retaking a great score, but I don't want to feel like I am not giving myself the best chance to succeed.

Other important factors:
-3.98 GPA
-URM (Mexican)
-Shooting for HYS or money from 4-10
-Good letters of rec and other extracurriculars, including work experience and leadership positions.

If you believe you can score higher, retake it. That's what I did and it paid off big.

I can't see the harm in a retake, and it can help. So go for it.
