I saw this on Steve's LSAT blog,
"Which of the following assumptions does the argument rely upon?"
It seems like an assumption question to me, but Steve called it must be true question.
Any guru could share her/his 2 cents, please?

Within the category of "assumption" questions, we have necessary assumption questions and sufficient assumption questions.

The above-referenced question stem does reference a necessary assumption question, which, as I see it, falls under the general category of must be true questions.

After all, a necessary assumption *must* be the case in order for the argument to work. A person who advances a particular argument is logically committed to believing all associated necessary assumptions. All of this being said, it would've been clearer to clarify that this is, indeed, a necessary assumption question. The post you've referenced is nearly 3 years old, but I've edited it accordingly - thanks for letting me know.
