When To Take The LSAT Guide
One of the most important decisions you make about the LSAT is when to take it. Here is the general guide for when to take the LSAT. If you think your situation is special and not sure when to take it - post you questions here.
WHEN SHOULD I TAKE THE LSAT?
OCTOBER
What's good? - You had whole summer to prepare, usually no important exams or finals in school. Also if you do bad in October you still have December.
What's bad? - Not much. Maybe bad weather. Rain and stuff. The LSAT in October is you best choice and it is the most frequently taken LSAT.
DECEMBER
What's good? - You had a lot of time to prepare. Perhaps you thought that you didn't prepare enough for the October exam - then December is your choice. Moreover you still have February to take LSAT again.
What's bad? - School exams. It might be very hard to balance between the finals in school and the LSAT.
FEBRUARY
What's good? - You have your winter break to prepare for the test.
What's bad? - Most of the schools have application deadlines in February, March and April. Therefore, you might not have enough time for your second LSAT.
JUNE
What's good? - School is over! You are happy and now you can finally focus on the LSAT!
What's bad? - School is over! You are happy and now you can finally enjoy the great weather outside!

This retarded.
Taking the LSAT should be less about weather and more about how it fits into your application cycle.

If you don't do well in October you're forced to wait until December and miss out on EDing and you're no longer applying early in the cycle. Why not take it in June so you have October to retake if need be?

Stop making shit threads.
Rules for deciding when to take the LSAT:
1. take it only when you're ready
2. take it ASAP so you have chances to retake and can apply early
3. rule 1 has precedence over rule 2

I would think, that if you are ready and confident enough to take the test in June, that would be the best time. YOu have the rest of the summer to dedicate to study if you dont like your score, or work on finalizing applications, writing why X school essays, and getting all of your materials in order- and figuring out where you want to go ( and doing some visits) so that when you can submit the applications early in the fall you can.
But the best time to take it is when you are practicing at your target range, and scoring where you need to be. If that means postpoining for one more cycle, or test then so be it.
