Can someone please give me some advice in regards to having 2 maybe 3 contenders left in LR. What is the most accurate way (in general) regardless of the question type, to narrow down those couple of remaining choices. Thanks alot.

For me it worked to try and figure out why the answers were WRONG instead of why they were right.

compare ACs to the stimulus, NOT each other

in what sense to the stimulus though. Can you expand on your answer?

It can take a lot of shapes.
1) compare logical gaps in the stim to an AC that might fill, strengthen, weaken, or destroy the argument.
2) look for qualifiers like most, some, many...
It's harder when it's not an assumption or qualifier issue, but if this is the case, look for ways in which one of the ACs doesn't exactly relate to the question being asked. It's out-of-scope, and therefore wrong
If you have any examples that stump you, PM me and I'll see what I can tell you more specifically
