Hello all
I will be entering my senior year and currently have a 3.90 gpa and have not yet taken the lsat. My options are to try and cram for the october one or wait till december. I am looking for a 170 or higher to get into schools like GULC, NYU, and others. What do you suggest?

Cram for October.
If you are PT-ing how you like, take it. If not, don't.
Continue studying for December.
If you are PT-ing how you like, take it. If not, don't and wait for next cycle.
Really, if you can get a job for next year, it will be worth it and will be a boost in apps, and a boost in hiring.

Take a diagnostic and see how much you'd have to improve for 170s scores. I took my diagnostic in late August last year and still managed to take the October test, but if you need to improve 25 points, October may be unrealistic.

I just took the free lsat the lsac has on their website. I got a raw of 67 which converts to a 154. Most of the missed questions came on the logic games. I only got 10 out of 23 and ran out of time. The other sections I didn't run out of time on. The second area I struggled a little with was the story section. I got a 19/27. Not sure if I can get to a 170 by October but I'm going to see how far I can get.

16 points is doable, especially if you're at under 50% accuracy on LG. It'll require
smart study, though.
Get cracking on drilling LG, and continue to try taking PTs and isolating LR and RC question types that you're having trouble with.

This was almost my exact diag(152) and I also missed more than half on LG. You can definitely hit the 170s with smart studying. I suggest the PitheyPike Guide that is stickied at the top of the forum.

I just ordered all of the materials off of amazon that Pithypike suggested. Luckily this semester isn't going to be as cumbersome as fall and spring of last year and I hand over my officer positions with a few student organizations sometime this semester as well so I will be able to focus on prepping. I have the option of taking only four classes either this semester or next semester, thanks to AP courses and one 18 credit semester, so I may take four for this one and five for the spring.
