PT 64
LR1: -1
LR2: -4
LG: -1
RC: -2
Raw 93 = 174 scaled.

What an easy RC. Tied my lowest score in that with 5 minutes to spare. Fkn bike game, can't be missing LGs with only a few days to go - the last time I missed an LG on an actual PT was September 22nd lol. LR2 sucked a big fat one. Are we reviewing 64 in the next couple of days or no?

Kinda random question, but what time do you all plan on arriving/checking into your test center? I want to get in early but I also don't want to be stuck sitting there waiting too long before the test starts!

I arrived on time to the Oct LSAT and still ended up sitting around for about an hour as people came in late. The longest hour of my life...

I think I'll be showing up a half an hour early.

I ended up getting there about half an hour before the check-in time, I was surprised at how quickly everyone was able to get checked-in and seated though since there were maybe 150 people in the room I was in.

Off to drill LG :( the stained glass windows game was insane.
I also got a 162 on pt 62...my last few practice tests have been in the lower 160s which makes me nervous about Saturday, starting to consider withdrawing, even though I withdrew from October :( grr LSAT

good to see i have i skills, just need to execute!

Should I PT or just drill tomorrow, then do PT 64 (Oct 2011) on Thurs?
I'd drill if you are taking a PT thurs

That's what I was thinking. Gonna split up one of the more recent PT's to drill, with breaks in between.

What part are you having difficulty with? I totally missed the point on one of the RC passages which had a serious effect on my score. But while I was reading it I wasn't really paying attention to the details, honestly, which I can work on by slowing down (I read pretty fast, 2 minutes a passage).

I'd be okay with a 162-165, but I don't want to have something happen on test day and totally get nervous and miss a bunch of questions. What score are you aiming for?

I think you will do fine, just keep working at it. It's just a test. I understand the pressure (and I totally feel the same way) but we have to approach this like we're going to beat it. The people who wrote it aren't gods. They're just people trying to trick you/test you. You will succeed. Don't let them win.
RC is definitely where I am struggling the most. I didn't even get to 9 of the questions in the RC passage, and only about 3 days before the test, this is making really nervous because originally I was shooting for a 170+ (which obviously will never happen with not even reading 9 of the questions!). I was doing better with LR, but made a few stupid mistakes on this test mixed with not getting to a few questions per LR section, which caused my LR to be bad as well! LGs for the most part I'm good with. I can usually complete them in the allotted time and rarely get questions wrong. Overall, my timing is awful and I'm trying to determine if studying/drilling more will help me overcome my timing issues or not.

You're right though, it is just a test and if I take it and feel like I bombed, I could always cancel it!

If it makes you feel any better, I thought the topics for the RC for 62 were hard. Three of them seemed science oriented to me (the medical illustrations one was weird). I ran out of time and skimmed/guessed the last passage.

First of all: I apologize for not being at the strategy session last night. I'm trying to adjust to this time zone change but after dinner I couldn't keep my eyes open!

I took PT 59 today (which was the December administration I took and canceled).

I was rushed on RC and slightly on the LRs. Had two misbubbles on the second LR. I felt good about LG.

I don't have the scale for this one so if someone wouldn't mind, what is a -11 for this test?

I checked out my test center today. I think the room is pretty good and there's enough lighting. I am planning on leaving early on Saturday, especially because we are expected to get ice and snow the night before and all into Saturday. I think I'd like to have 30 minutes to sit and warm up on some material before I get into the line to register.

Hello everyone!!!

I've waited a whole year for this day. I made a promise to myself when I saw my crappy December 2010 score to not review the test because I was going to take it again a couple days before my retake. I wanted to go into PT62 with no recollection of the test whatsoever. I absolutely bombed that test last year. 157. It was the worst day of my life.

This time around on a strictly timed PT:

LR1: -4
LG: -4
LR2: -5
RC: -9 (blahh)

For a 165!!!! :)

I am personally upset because I did worse on RC than normal, which ruined my chances to reach the goal of a 166. The last passage murdered me. I didn't have enough time for stained windows, where my -4 came from, but I was able to take out the rest of the LG's perfectly. BUT I am so happy that I was able to make such great strides in my prep work. +8 points from last year is a great boost in my opinion. I'm so much more confident for Saturday now. :)

That link says -14 was a 170 for PT59, so you did really well then!

EDIT: I was able to find the full scale for you, and -11 is a 172. Congrats!

Hey guys, I'm back. We are still reviewing tonight at 7 est in the manhattan room.

Another thing: Does anybody else go through periods where they're thinking "I can totally do this! LSAT, hooray!" and "Oh my god oh my god I'm so nervous!" I don't know anyone else who is taking this test besides the people here, so I wanted to ask.

I'm hoping I don't feel super nervous before I go in for the test. Any tips for dealing with this type of anxiety?

That is really great news! It is really reassuring to see someone make such big strides through putting in the hard-work. PT 62 was a really tough test (took it this morning also and got pretty dominated by it!) so I feel like to see improvement there, it shows that you really tackled some of the areas that were holding you back. Congrats!

I just took 62 today and I'm actually doing a self review right now. I'd be willing to discuss it with you if you want. I know SA took the test today too, so maybe he would like to join?

This place is a gold mine of info, with people who only want to help you. I was ready to go to Syracuse with my 157, but the people on the forum convinced me otherwise with the legal market the way it is and I've significantly improved since then and now I'm aiming for a 166 for December and a 170 for February. The test is learnable; you just have to put in the effort. Aim high and even if you don't make it exactly to your goals, know you at least didn't settle for less.

Are you a good self studier? I work better by myself reading books, so if you're the same way I HIGHLY recommend buying the Powerscore Logic Game bible (best book ever made) and the Manhattan LR guide (improved an average of -18 total to -7 total). If it's better for you to sit in a classroom to absorb the info, there's plenty of info on here about classes from people who know more than I do. If you have any questions feel free to ask on here or PM me.

Well i spent most of my time doing drills during prep so to be honest I don't really know my actual range. About 3 weeks ago I took 4-5 PTA and was ranging from like 167-174, decided to stop PTing and go to drills again to hit my weak spots and now on my last few this week on the most recent tests I've been in the lower 160s, like 160-163, so I guess it is in my new range! I'm just frustrated I guess b/c my original diagnostic was 158, and I saw big gains and now I kinda feel like I've regressed all the way back to where I started and I'm not really sure why I guess. I think maybe I'm just having trouble Adjusting back to timing with the adjusted techniques, since my timing issues is what is really causing me the most damage/where I'm losing almost all of my points.
