I'm now using all the bibles and aiming for 165. Current PT average is 164 and I got a 167 today! So hopefully I am now on the right track. Hoping by end of Sept. I can PT around 170.

Good luck everyone!

Last night I dreamed that I got a 164.

It's just a dream, it's just a dream, it's just a dream. Nobody really gets the score they dream about...right?

I dreamt that I would get a 137 in June, and thankfully that didn't happen. Chin up, cloudsy.

I can't decide if I belong here or not :( i was so happy with my 168 when i got it in June. Now a combination of TLS/ my own perfectionism has me focused on the fact that i could have done better. I went -0/-1/-2 on lr and rc, but -9 on logic games. I think if I could make my brain understand the more complex games I could break 170. I need to go back to the later chapters of the bible and give them closer attention.

On the other hand, I'm terrified of doing worse.

Ultimately it's up to you, but some things to consider:

- LG is the easiest section to improve on
- The difference between an upper 16X and a 170 is like a 2.9 vs a 3.0 (in terms of how it looks to adcomms)
- If you have a middling GPA, a high LSAT will help you break into the T6. A lower one will probably cut you out of the T6.
- Moar moniez (from schools to you)
- Moar choices (of schools to attend)
- If you were averaging in the 170s before june, there's no reason why you should slip below 169 again if you study before October.

I wasn't PTing above 168 before June... But let me embarrass myself for the sake of good advice and say I did a absolutely shitty job of studying. Princeton review book, about half of the lg bible, 3 PTs. I'm mad at myself for that, but time is super hard to find while working 10 hours on average a day :-/

This is basically what I did (I got a 168 the first time I took the LSAT). Just don't be like me on the retake and get test anxiety and bomb section 1 and you'll be fine. (:<3 LGB ftw!

You won't do worse. Like you, I was stoked about the 166 I scored the first time. Then I put forth two months of quality effort, like you are about to, and got got the score I needed. Most people here would kill for those rc and lr skills. Go crush games.

Retaking a 160 I got in June after improving a wonderful 4 points from Kaplan....turns out that's within their "Higher Score Guarantee."

Regardless, on one hand I'm happy knowing that I'll definitely go to law school, but I want to do better. I need to improve to a 168 to be able to get into Fordham, USC, UWashington, and possibly UCLA.

I'm getting so pissed right now I have been doing the LR sections of the practice test I did before my June exam and I keep getting lower scores than before. And this is after I read the whole LR bible. This just makes no damn sense!

I took my first PT since June today and got a 168, a 1 point improvement on my earlier high score. I'm encouraged by this, especially since 7 of my 14 errors came in RC - usually a strong section for me.

Next week will consist of intensive review of my test, LR and LG drills, Manhattan RC review, and another PT next Friday.

Hope everyone else is improving as we ease back into PT'ing.

I got a 165 in June after some week reviewing, but I just dropped some money on LR+LG Bible and a bunch of practice tests. Hopefully I can get it up to a 17x. I just started on Monday, and my first three practice tests were 167, 171, and 172. I'm hoping I didn't wait too long to start studying again, but the summer semester was killing me.

That's a nice way to kickstart your LSAT prep :)

I tried doing an 8 section test on Monday but I totally failed at it. I had to finish the 2nd test the next day. I'm hoping it's normal to struggle with 2 tests back to back when first starting out. Might try the 8 section test later...

I'm with you on this. I tried to do a 8 section test and graded out 5 points lower on the second one. I'm hoping, for the next couple of weeks until school starts, to put 5 hours a day in studying.

Retaking a complete disaster/cancel from June (bombed RC and LR1). Just took my first PT since then (Superprep A) after running some drills over the last couple of weeks and landed at my previous average...mid 160's. I guess I'm kinda satisfied with that score, but I would like to push to high 160's over the next 2 months. Good luck to everyone else ITT!! :D

Thanks for empathizing with me. Gargghhh, another frustrating day with the LSAT.

Thinking of retaking June 169. Embarrassingly I had to leave to use the bathroom in the middle of AR section, and this threw me off my game obviously. It seems the consensus here is a few more points can really improve scholarship potential, which is my highest priority. (GPA 3.59) After taking a few months off do people find it is tremendous work to get back to where you were? Thanks!

FML! I login to LSAC's website tonight to register for the Oct. test and ALL the test centers within 20 miles are full, including the one where I took the June test. Do they open more seats or am I SOL?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
