LSAT Fee Waiver question? Forum

For the fee waiver option on the LSAC home page, is it to waive the $139 fee to take the actual LSAT, or is to waive the fee to apply to schools?

If it is for the former, how long does it take before LSAC will respond to me letting me know if I qualify or not? I would like to sign up for the October exam this weekend (while the center I want is still available).

Um, so if I pay the $139 right now, and fill out the waiver, and then find out I qualified for it 6 weeks later, will I be reimbursed?

lsac conditionally approved me immediately after i submitted my info. This allows you to register for the lsat/register for CAS services/order the "Official Superprep" (if you don't already have, or if you want another cause its free??) all with no fee. I simply have to mail my and my mother's w2s within 45 days. If there are discrepancies from what i entered vs. what is on the w2s then I will simply have to pay the fees and what not.

You don't have to pay if you apply for the waiver, I believe. You will just be charged for the services if your application is denied. Also, be sure to appeal the decision, that's how I got mine. May or may not work but it's worth a try.

I was first denied due to a discrepancy, I had mistakenly submitted 2010's tax return when they were requesting 2009's. Be sure to pay attention to what year's tax return is being requested.
